The Galano Club, Inc. was founded March 1, 1982. It is a registered 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation in the State of Georgia and has been granted tax -exempt status by the State and Federal governments. The Galano Club, Inc. has no affiliation with Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon or any other 12 Step Program. We provide facilities for meetings, conferences, and communications between groups and service organizations of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon. Primarily, we offer space where 12-step groups may hold meetings. Each group pays rent to the club for use of meeting space. Membership in The Galano Club is independent of membership in any group that uses the club's facilities for their meetings. The Galano Club is a community and your membership helps support the clubhouse and its activities for the recovery community. I join The Galano Club, Inc.? Requirements (By-Law II. A.) for membership in the club are:
Membership is in no way conditioned upon or affected by race, color, creed, national origin, sex, or age. Dues and other monetary contributions are tax deductible for computing income and estate taxes. Dues are
$10 per month or $100 per year. Club membership dues help to defray basic
operating costs such as general repairs, insurance, cleaning, supplies,
trash removal, water, electricity, heating and air conditioning. How
do I join?
It’s easy! The Galano Club, Inc., P.O. Box 7005, Atlanta, GA, 30357. If
you prefer to pay in cash, put your dues in an envelope and deposit it
in the Galano safe. Please do not send cash in the mail! The Galano Board meets at 7PM on the 3rd Tuesday of each month in Room #2 of the clubhouse. Galano Board Members-2010 President - Clyne H. |
